Slowly coming out of the fog...

With a bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats in my lap- (why are they so good and not so good at the same time- is it because they only have one side of frosting?) I feel wide awake. But I mean WIDE awake!

Wide awake because we just got back from the most amazing trip to Thailand!! And yes it is the middle of the afternoon over there. (no wonder why I am hungry)

The thoughts of Buddhist Temples, canoe rides, elephants, orphanages, monks, thai food, beaches, floating lanterns, and markets all dance in my mind. I can't wait to tell you more about it and show you images of some of the sweet people and children we met in Thailand.

For now, I best force myself to go to bed.... despite the fact that I am dreading waking up in the morning. The adjustment has been rough... I feel so foggy and tired pretty much all morning until like 6pm at night.

Anyhow-  I've missed you... I have so many new things to share including my challenge this month... but that will have to wait- perhaps tomorrow... I'm slowly coming out of the fog.

New Tradition

I have been reflecting on our family  traditions for the past few weeks and making it a point to get started and to continue with traditions we have started.

And we have one more to add to our list... this past weekend was General Conference- (a two day conference held twice a year where leaders of our church speak) and I really wanted to make this an exciting and special weekend by having a huge hot breakfast with the works on Saturday and then hot homemade cinnamon rolls on Sunday. I also created a conference bag where Little Man could pick an activity or a treat to do every time he heard the choir sing! He loved it! My heart is so full from the messages that were shared. Next conference will be held in April and I will share photos of our conference feast and bag (since I neglected to take any this year)!

Anyhow, start thinking of traditions you want to incorporate in your family...next month there just may be a challenge around traditions!

I am off- nap-time for little man is almost over!

Cabo withdrawals.

Okay so no music Monday... sorry.
I am going through a bit of family and holiday withdrawal.
We just got back from a fabulous holiday vacation in Cabo with Mister's family.
It was AHHHMAZING.

Why is it that it takes at least a few weeks to feel adjusted to home after being with family for so long?

I had a little bit of an empty feeling as I was saying goodbye to mister as he left to work.

I miss him.

It is amazing to me how easy it is to leave behind the cares of the world and responsibilities for just one week and not think about anything else but family.

Can't I pause this moment forever?

My most memorable moment of the trip:
playing with little man and mister on the beach and in the pool...I don't think I have ever seen little man laugh so hard for so long...
...it was pure bliss.

Oh Cabo...how you will be missed. Today I am grateful for family vacations (day #15).

besitos,
